Toronto: McClelland & Stewart, 1933. First Canadian Edition. Very Good+/Very Good. First Canadian edition in original dust jacket. Black cloth boards with orange, black and blue decoration on cover (trees, church with windows lit up at night). No bumping or wear. Binding is tight & square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean. Author associated inscription on front free endpaper reads: "Dear Mary Ann, As you were often here, and knew Mr. Knowles with pleasure I inscribe for you, on your birthday, one of his books - with love, Berta Hogg - 92 Glenmorris St., Galt, April 6th, 1950." 92 Glenmorris Street, Cambridge (then known as Galt), Ontario, was the home of Robert E. Knowles. 339 pages. Dust jacket has a few very tiny chips, light soiling. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover.
