In the publisher's dust jacket, price-clipped, a few chips to head and tail of spine, shelf wear, a very good example. Inscribed on the front free endpaper: "With best regards, Ida M. Cullen (Countee)." Includes a handwritten letter from the author's wife written on Countee Cullen Foundation stationery. Letter reads: "Dear Friends - Please forgive the long delay in getting this book to you - So many things have happened - But just know how glad I am at last to get it off - My very best to you both and your lovely family - and it was indeed a pleasure meeting you in New Orleans. Sincerely Ida M. Cullen. / P.S. The Foundation is a long dream - am working very hard on it now."
