First Edition, with a dedicated authors signature, hardcover in tan cloth covered boards with negligible surface soil. Lower extremities are lightly brushed but not rubbed, tips remain sharp. 345pp text is tight and crisp. Vintage bookstore sticker, a speck of soil, and the authors dedicated signature, "For Michael Manesco, with the VERY BEST wishes of the author", on FEP. (Michael Manesco was a trainer from the Romanian Army.) End pps are starting to fox. No other markings or soil inside. Original dj is unclipped with a couple of tiny scratches, some color loss on spine from storage, displays well in new mylar. The courageous story of Seabiscuit is retold by a man who was present at many of this gallant horse's triumphs; Man O' War lives again through an interview with his trainer. In these pages you will meet the great trotter Greyhound, and one of the world's most important progenitors, Messenger.
