First edition. Signed by DJ Yella in sharpie on the paste down with the acronym CPT for "Compton." [1], 318, [1] pp. Bound in publisher's illustrated boards. Light shelf wear, else Fine. No jacket, as issued. A signed memoir by a major figure in the evolution of West Coast rap, a former member of legendary Compton, California-based group N.W.A. (with Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, Arabian Prince, and Ice Cube) and the lesser-known World Class Wreckin' Cru. Dre famously name-checked him in the N.W.A. song "Express Yourself": "Even if Yella, makes it acapella, I still express.".
