Striving to be the best is a memoir of Allen Garber. Al was an army ranger in Viet Nam. He later joined the FBI and spent many years in SWAT. He retired from the FBI to become a Police Chief and then Commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources and then finally U.S. Marshal for the state of Minnesota. Al always strove to be the best that he could be at every task he put his mine to. This is his story. His most memorable and biggest disappointment in his career was not solving the Jacob Wetterling case. Only now with the confession of the killer in September of 2016 can he put that to rest.
