Top of cover has long, signed presentation inscription by the author to the Wistar Institute, ". with pleasant memories of the writer's work at the Institute, 1917-1918 ."; at left of the author's inscription is pencilled "for Dr. Donaldson," the Wistar's Institute's head of research, who is mentioned in the author's inscription; at top of the inscription is a stamp indicating that this volume was not accessioned by a Harvard University library; "Macac | Hartman" written in a sloppy way on the spine; binding has wear, soil and age browning; spine is sunned; spine tips are chipped; top of back cover has short closed tear; text is clean. 161 p., with 6 leaves of plates.
