First edition. Cover drawing of Miles Davis by Fielding Dawson. Title page photograph by Chester Kessler. Large octavo. [24]pp. Unprinted black wrappers in pictorial dust jacket. A very good copy in good to very good dust jacket, the fragile pictorial dust jacket has moderate wear and soiling at extremities of front and rear panels with separation and nicked tears along edge of spine. Author's first book, issued as Jargon 17. Inscribed by Perkoff in year of publication filling the entire front flyleaf: "Perhaps the grafitti will give the book a value beyond its minor literary & historical. Stuart Z. Perkoff. 12 Apr. '59." Also Signed by poet and publisher Jonathan Williams on the title page. An elusive title, especially when signed, difficult to find in complete dust jacket. Seller Inventory # 521970
