Kenneth Roberts (1885-1957) wrote historical fiction, winning the Pulitzer Prize Special Citation in 1957 for his novels focusing on early American history. Amy Lyman Phillips, who this book is inscribed to, was a writer and arbiter in the Palm Beach area, writing publicity for the local hotels as well as writing a column in The Palm Beach Post.
