St. Vincent's Hospital: December 16, 1991), Stephen Breyer (Kingsley v. Hendrickson et al: June 22, 2015), and Elena Kagan (Kimble v. Marvel Entertainment: June 22, 2015). In fine condition. A fine collection of signatures offering first-hand insight into each justice's manner of reasoning. The Supreme Court of the United States is the highest court in the federal judiciary of the United States of America. It has ultimate appellate jurisdiction over all federal and state court cases that involve a point of federal law, and original jurisdiction over a narrow range of cases, specifically "all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party". The Court holds the power of judicial review, the ability to invalidate a statute for violating a provision of the Constitution. Established by Article Three of the United States Constitution, the composition and procedures of the Supreme Court were initially established by the 1st Congress through the Judiciary Act of 1789.
