First edition hardcover, with dust jacket, published by William Morrow, 1965. Signed by the author with an inscription for the former owner. 'For Rich Humphrey - As they say in N.B. Very best' Inscription is dated August 13, 2003. A classic of fly-fishing, stories and sketches of a life in fishing. 5-3/4" X 8-1/2", 127 pages. The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. Original price of $4 is printed on the top corner of the front flap. Jacket has some minor edge wear at the head and heel of the spine panel, and a short closed tear at the top edge of the back panel, about 1/4 inch tall. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Light green cloth covered boards, with the title and author on the spine in black and silver. Edges of the text block are relatively clean with one very faded dot of a stain on the bottom edge, about 1/4 inch across. Binding is tight and square. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. Not a library discard copy. Attached are some photos of the copy we have in our inventory.
