Octavo, xiv, 190 pages, plus a frontispiece and 8 plates. In Good condition. Spine is tan with faded gilt lettering, with age toning, and fraying along the head/tail and joint edges. Bound in publisher's tan cloth, with gilt lettering and ornamentation to front board. Boards have light plus soiling, age toning and general shelving wear. Minor bumping to fore corners, resulting in lightly frayed corners. Textblock has a hole on the front pastedown, exposing the board. A cutout from the Atlanta Journal pasted onto the second free end page, the half-title page to the copyright page are detached from textblock, moderate plus stain on the title page, and closed tears on pages 51-54 impacting some text. Age toning along the edges, light plus soiling on some pages throughout, and a booksellers sticker on the rear pastedown. Inscribed "For Reid Weddell, With the best wishes of" and signed by Joel Chandler Harris. Shelved in Room A. 1397173. Special Collections. Seller Inventory # 1397173
