Astonishing catalogue of an Exhibition held in the Rare Books Department at the Times Bookshop, November 12-30, 1963, curated by Timothy d'Arch Smith. 90 items divided into sections: Alchemy, Astrology, Water-Divining; Prophecies and Predictions; Ghosts, Apparitions and Demons; The Evil Eye; Witchcraft in England; Witchcraft on the Continent; Black Magic; The Secret Tradition; 'Crowleyanity'; Spiritualism; Fiction; General Works; Modern Historical Works. The fiction section includes works by Catherine Crowe, M.R. James, H.P. Lovecraft (The Shunned house at £10); Aleister Crowley (An inscribed presentation copy of MOONCHILD at £10), plus others. The 'Crowleyanity' section has a short biography of Aleister Crowley "We have devoted a special section to the work of the last great magician the world has known" and offers 4 items: 777 1st Ed (£7); Book 4 Part One 1st Ed (£2 2s), Magick in Theory and Practice 1st Ed £7 10s); & The Book of Thoth 1st Ed (£20).
