The concluding volume in Richter's THE AWAKENING LAND trilogy about the Ohio frontier and winner of the Pulitzer Prize. INSCRIBED and SIGNED by the author on the front endpaper: "Autographed for/Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Kirwan/and family of Pottsville/Conrad Richter/February 24/Pine Grove." Dustwrapper designed by John O'Hara Cosgrave II. Quite scarce when signed. Some browning to the front endpaper with little effect on the inscription. Close to Fine in a Near Fine dustwrapper with minor chipping to the heel of the spine.
