Number 218 of 300 copies SIGNED by Snodgrass, who translated the folk songs herein from the collections first made by Bartok and Kodaly (1906 and 1929, respectively). Illustrated with decorations cut by Dorian McGowan. Stiff, unlettered, tan paperwraps, with design printed in mauve on front cover. INSCRIBED BY SNODGRASS TO PRIZE-WINNING POET LAUREATE ANTHONY HECHT, "For Tony, with affection and envy, De." Edges toned and somewhat stained, most noticeably at top of front cover, otherwise very good. ASSOCIATION COPY, INSCRIBED. Seller Inventory # 54275
