This first signature, from 1988, shows a full, written, cursive Jonathan signature, which is rare and then the Fr and a long tail. On the title page. Mr. Franzen has written: 23+ years later.Jonathan Franzen. The latter signature (2011 - unstated) has Mr. Franzen's common signature of two large cursive letters with tails. Book and DJ are both nearly fine. no flaws of note, just a couple of minor instances that barely keep this from grading fine. The author's first book.
