On 6.75 x 9.75" "BSW Literary Agency" letterhead, dated April 1, 1983, contents regarding the affect of films on novel reading, ".as we see in the case of your class--the films have persuaded students to read very long books they might otherwise not have tackled." A heartening sentiment indeed. Wouk continues on to say, "I enclose an autographed picture.and wish your students lifelong enjoyment from literature, one of the greatest pleasures in life." Together with 3.5 x 5" black-and-white photograph of Wouk in profile SIGNED BY WOUK. Both items with evidence of having been previously mounted on verso (just thin strips running along the top edges). Photo is otherwise fine. At present it is by appointment only and housed in the home of the Ahearn's eldest daughter, Beth Ahearn Fisher, who is carrying on the family bookselling tradition. Our current stock of approximately 3,500 books consists mainly of first editions of American and English Literature including Mysteries and Detective Stories, Science Fiction, Children's and Illustrated Books. We also collectible books in all fields. Over the years, we have published more than 200 individual Author Price Guides; and Allen and Patricia authored the well-regarded books on book collecting, "Collected Books: The Guide to Identification and Values" (4th ed., 2011) and "Book Collecting 2000: A Comprehensive Guide."
