Inscribed copy of John Patrick's Pultizer Prize winning theatrical adaptation of a Vern Sneider novel set during the American occupation of Japan after World War II. Patrick's play version was acclaimed Broadway hit winning the 1954 Pulitzer and the 1953-54 New York Critics Circle Award. It was also the source book for a later film version of the same title starring Marlon Brandon. Inscribed by John Patrick to a previous owner on the front endpaper. 180 pages, black cloth. The dust jacket has a chip at the top edge of the spine and a bit of fading on the spine. The book has light edge wear.
