About this Item

74pp. Typescript of a play performed at the Royal Court in 1958, but otherwise apparently unpublished. Inscribed on the title page by the composer, George Newson (1932-2024), 'given to me by Stuart Holroyd in the late 1960's), and with a letter from Holroyd to Newson laid in, suggesting Newson read certain parts of the play with a view to using them as a libretto.
