Inscription reads: "To my close friends Jonnie(?) & Hugh and may this be a reminder that I'm always thinking of you. George". Red cloth boards shows some scuffing and soiling along with toning to edges and spine. Edges and corners show bumps/wear. Internal binding is good though it feels just a little bit loose. The original owners signature is on the front end page and has been crossed out with a black marker. No other handwriting found in the book, no bookplates, no library markings. Pages are toned due to age and there is some light scattered spotting and foxing present. The copyright page states first printing of May, 1940.
