INSCRIBED ("To Dana and Cubby Broccoli / with kind thoughts") and SIGNED by the author on the ffep, who has also added "Three Rivers 1982" beneath his signature. Suspense novel about a neurobiologist whose yoga experiments lead him into a realm of "chemically induced ESP," which gives him the ability to listen in on the thoughts of others. "But his optimistic hopes of world harmony quickly fade in the ensuing din of hypocrisy, lies, and deceit; the 'idealistic' politicians, scientists, industrialists, and humanitarians who approach him for the secret are seeking not international cooperation but mental dictatorship."
