Octavo (21cm); illustrated dust jacket; charcoal boards with red cloth spine with silver lettering; [viii],247pp. Price-clipped jacket is lightly shelfworn, with some scattered smudges and dust-soiling and a small spot of sticker residue to rear panel. Boards are square with slight fading along edges and nudging at spine ends. Small star stamp on rear pastedown. Binding is sound and pages unmarked. Signed by the author in green without inscription on half title. Walker's debut novel, set in rural Georgia.

About the Author

Alice Walker won the Pulitzer Prize and the American Book Award for her novel The Color Purple.
