Three original autograph poems by Langston Hughes. Quarto, three pages, one typed and two handwritten in green ink for Marshall Bean. Each boldly signed by Langston Hughes. The first, "Personal" is typed and reads in full, "In an envelope marked: Personal God addresses me a letter. In an envelope marked Personal I have given my answer." The second, "Bad Morning" is handwritten and reads in full, "Inscribed especially for Marshall Bean ~ Here I set With my shoes mismated - Lawdy mercy, I's frustrated!" The third, "A Little Lyric of Great Importance" is handwritten and reads in full, "Written out for Marshall Bean ~ A Little Lyric of Great Importance I wish the rent Was heaven sent."
