A very scarce limited edition work regarding the history of Leicestershire, signed by the author to the colophon. Very scarce. Limited edition of one hundred and twenty copies, of which this is a complimentary copy presented to Private Press Books. Signed by the author Trevor Hickman to the colophon. This fascinating work is a very scarce comparison between the 1789 work 'Select Views in Leicestershire' by John Throsby and a contemporary look at sixteen county seats in their twentieth century setting. The work is profusely illustrated with many photographic views of the area, including Belvoir Castle, Stapelford Park and Wistow Hall. In the original brown cloth with gilt detail to the front board.Externally in lovely condition. Internally firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean. Fine. Seller Inventory # 631K15
