1st printings of the first American hardcover editions of The Tipping Point (NY: Little, Brown, 2000 - 0316316962) and its sequel Revenge of The Tipping Point (2024 - 9780316575805). The Tipping Point has become a familiar concept and a household word, and this set includes a scarcely found first printing of the original publication and an autographed 1st printing of the follow-up. The Tipping Point has off-white paper boards and binding with white end papers and black titles. This first printing is not signed. It is tight with sharp corners and no markings by a previous owner or retailer. Minor wear to the heel and crown of the spine of the book. The exposed page edges are clean and unmarked. The jacket is price intact. Manufactured without a surface laminate, the off-white and yellow-bordered jacket is prone to shelf wear. The front panel is relatively clean with wear along the bottom edge, including a nick. The back panel has a few smudges, some rubbing and three small stains. The top edge of the back panel is wrinkled. The spine has darkened; the heel and crown have softened; and the tips of the folds are worn and frayed. This copy of Revenge of the Tipping Point is Fine/Fine and flat-signed by Gladwell on the title page with a black marker. It is not signed on a book plate or on a page that was tipped-in, so the author handled this copy. Red paper boards and binding with white end papers and silver titles. A tight copy with sharp corners. The crown of the spine has softened. The jacket is bright, crisp and price intact. Prices are in U.S. dollars. Canadian buyers will be contacted via ABE to request an additional charge of GST or applicable taxes. SBA collects and remits the tax and not the website, because it has a GST Registration number.
