Jacket is now protected by a smart removable wrapper. Near fine book, very good jacket.
The work represents a brilliant convergence of two masters of children's literature, born from Milne?s deep adoration for Grahame?s 1908 classic, The Wind in the Willows. Milne's play adaptation of the novel consciously adjusts the story's pacing and structural focus, condensing the narrative to centre almost exclusively on Mr. Toad?s boisterous escapades, his automotive obsession, his imprisonment, and the triumphant battle to reclaim his ancestral home from the Wild Wooders. The work preserves Grahame's core themes of abiding friendship and loyalty, while transforming the narrative into a brisk, highly entertaining celebration of Toad's eccentric and reckless vanity.
