Touching The Void, Joe Simpson, Jonathan Cape, 1998, Signed First Edition Reprint Adapted into film in 2003 and for stage in 2018, this book recounts Simpson's and his climbing partner, Simon Yate's near fatal descent after climbing the 6344 meter peak Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes. It has sold over a million copies and has been translated into over 20 languages. The title page has been signed by the author with a neat personal dedication. The book is illustrated throughout with photographs from the expedition. In fine condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. The end papers and pages are free from marks, tears and inscriptions. The unclipped dust jacket is in near fine condition with no issues.
