First edition. Red cloth decorated in black and gilt. Illustrated with frontispiece and three additional autotypes, as called for. Spine and extremities darkened and boards a bit soiled, light fraying at the spine ends, an about very good copy. Presentation prize inscription by Stone on the books black front pastedown, making it a little difficult to read, awarding the book at a Birmingham girl's school. *OCLC* locates two copies in the U.S., *COPAC* locates three in the U.K.
