Add to basketNear Fine in a Near Fine dust jacket. Bound in full orange cloth. The spine is stamped in gilt. 491pps. There is very mild rubbing to the board-edges. Also, a previous owner's signature is neatly written on the ffep. Otherwise clean, tight, square, and bright. The price-clipped dust jacket, glossy in an archival sleeve, has touches of age-toning as well as rubbing at the extremities; no chips or tears. Generically SIGNED and dated by the author (Feb. 1966) with a Maori exclamation. A very nice copy. ".The majestic sweep of Maori tradition moves through the pages of this book; here, for the first time, is a full collection of the myths, legends, and religious beliefs of the New Zealand Maori. Maori folklore and legend has its own peculiar quality, being closely allied to nature in all its manifestations, and with a depth of thought and of religious feeling which is an important part of Maori life. No other book has attempted to make such a wide collection, to show the variations in well-known legends amongst different tribes, and to gather lesser-known stories within the covers of one volume." Purchase with confidence: all books, gradings, and descriptions are rendered the care of a genuine bibliophile. Satisfaction guaranteed or all costs you've incurred will be promptly refunded.
