'Inscribed for John Arlott by John Betjeman 1959.'Arlott had both copies bound in yellow boards with a black leather spine and gold embossed title 'John Betjeman Two Essays 1936-37.'Cover in very good condition. Inside there is some foxing to front and back pages and endpages of the original but text clear and bright. As well as the two Betjeman essays there are contributions from Cyril Connolly, Hilaire Belloc, A.G Macdonell and Rebecca West.
