Add to basket1962 FIRST PRINTING of First Edition. Inscribed, signed, and dated on short-title page by the author, Margaret Murie. This book has been inscribed and signed by the author to Joe Collins, longtime chairman of the Conservation Committee of the Spokane Mountaineers, a mountaineering and outdoors recreation club in Spokane Washington. Original teal cloth with brown decoration front cover and spine, gilt lettering spine, top edge colored red as published. Very collectible condition. The book has very clean covers, no fading, no rubbing, sharp corners, no writing or marks on any pages (other than the author's signed inscription), no foxing, clean pages, no tears, tight binding. The original dust jacket is clean, slightly faded on spine, rubbing along spine creases near spine corners, tiny loss very tips of corners, price-clipped to front flap corner. The book measures 209mm x 163mm and has 438 + [2] pages, several b/w sketches, 1 map. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
