Grossman Publishers. New York. First edition, stated first printing. 1965. Signed / Flatsigned in person by Ralph Nader directly to the title page. Signature only, no inscription. 365 pages. Book is tight, bright and clean. Clean, red cloth panels with Silver titles on the spine. Original first issue DJ with $5.95 price intact. Red topstain. Hypercritical condition description and flaw disclosure: Erased bookseller's code on corner of the title page. Pencil eraser size stain (very faint) on the half-title page. Faint soiling to bottom page edges. Very small area of the red topstain is slightly lighter than rest. Corners are sharp with a tiny touch of rubbing at tip. At the top edge of half title page is a previous owners name. Original DJ with $5.95 price intact. Black DJ shows handling and rubbing with minor soiling to rear. tiny chips and creases at edges and folds. In March 1999, the New York Times published a list of the top 100 books in journalism excellence. The panel consisted of 36 judges and was compiled by New York University's School of Journalism. Unsafe at Any Speed ranked 38th among the top 100 pieces of journalism of the 20th century. Additionally, Ralph Nader was recently named by the Atlantic as one of the 100 most influential figures in American history, one of only 4 living people to be so honored.
