"FIRST EDITION" on its copyright page. Inscribed on its title page by both authors: "for Bill Patterson / Cordially / Jack Williamson" (in blue ballpoint), "and also Frederik Pohl" (in black felt-tip.) This book is in very good condition, marred only by wear on spine ends and cover edges, hand-written "1st Ed." in faded red ink on its front end paper, very slight spine lean, and typical age toning to the pulp paper pages. Its binding is sound, with no spine crease. Covers are unmarked and otherwise unworn. Pages are unworn and otherwise unmarked. Its dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is in good condition: bright and unmarked, with wear on flap and spine folds, 1/2" chips in top of its spine and top of its back flap fold, a 1/4" chip in top of its front flap fold, and 1/8" chips in bottom of its spine and flap folds. I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its new owner in the same condition as my description.
