Unleashing Creativity: An Inspirational Awakening

Follow five artists of various disciplines (visual arts, musicians, and writers) throughout the course of a year as they come together to form a creativity circle. Inspired by Elizabeth Gilbert's book, Big Magic, they set out on a journey of trust, courage and artistic permission, utilizing both prompts generated from her book and from group discussions, to guide their own unique writings.
Unleashing Creativity--An Inspirational Awakening, speaks to the power of entering into a safe and sacred space with other artists, igniting a spark of creativity from the process of sharing at a deeper level. The circle is not a critique group; the primary task is to support one another's artistic pursuits without the strain of competition or pressure. Within this framework, each artist becomes more insightful and challenged to explore new ideas, thus keeping the creative fires burning. Since so much of an artist's time is spent in solitude, the creativity circle provided renewed energy and an impetus to return to the studio.
Each piece of prose or poetry, raw and honest, inspires the reader along with invitations for personal reflection to "play with us" on blank pages. Whether alone or within a creative circle of one's own design, join us on an inspirational journey and see what magic may unfold for you!
