First edition, printed portrait of Angela Davis [in the form of a fundraising appeal for Angela Davis Legal Defense Fund], signed and dated by the artist, Jack Bilander. Single sheet. cream-colored, heavy stock paper, folded once to form [4](twelvemo) pages, illustrated on front cover, in color, with a portrait of Angela Davis, by Jack Bilander. 12mo. Unrecorded by OCLC, which does record other, similar publications, related to the Angela Davis Legal Defense Fund. The artist, Jack Bilander (1919-2008) was an American printmaker and painter. He studied at the National Academy of Design, Art Students League, Columbia University, and New York University. His work is found in numerous private and public collections. Signed, and dated, by Jack Bilander, on the front cover: "Jack Bilander 71." SIGNED BY THE ARIST.
