About this Item

(Volume 1 only) inscribed (but sadly not signed) under the front board by the author. there is also a red wax seal which appears to be from the admiralty and a blue tipped in plate stating that the book was presented to Colonel Fanshawe of the Royal Engineers by the Admiralty. the official matching envelope that probably contained the presentation bookplate is still with the book. the spine has been repaired and the paper label on the spine is worn and frayed. the book is complete with all plates as called for. there are age related marks and the boards are worn. the binding is strong. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
