Previously housed in a battered, simple, split-jointed cardboard box, which has done its job without complaint. Bound in decorated, textured very light mauve paper over boards, brick-red cloth-backed, with bumping to spine head and foot, else a clean, unmarked, bright-of-interior copy. Clay Meredith Greene (1850-1933) was a San Franciscan-based author, actor, and even director of many score plays and librettos.
