Paris: l'Imprimerie Georges Petit, 1921 (May 31st). First and numbered edition. Signed by Ripa de Roveredo, # 69 of 100 copies. Preface by Camille Mauclair. Oblong folio; sketch prints on Japon Nacre, loose in chemise and slipcase as issued. Tissue guards at sketches intact, though a few are creased. Near fine and fine sketch prints in a very good plus to near fine chemise and very good slipcase. Remarkably preserved from 1928, with a handsome and decorative aspect to the containing chemise, this is a collection of intense, almost tactile prints after stark - yet moving and wistful - face & head line-drawing sketches by the singular French female artist, Yvonne Ripa de Roveredo. A true rarity. - G.
