Signed by Dr. Kerlin on the free front end paper. Volume in Good condition with water staining throughout the leaves, in addition to the heavy wear and staining to the rear board verso, which carries through the bottom third of the final 20 pages or so, along with wearing away of the outer edge of those pages as much as 1/4" in from the edge. Binding loose but holding together. A few pencil markings on occasional leaves. 2" split in center of rear hinge of the backstrip; heavy edge wear to about 10% of the board edges, and heavy wear to head and foot of backstrip. Very scarce. Included willl be a racist antique post card which was included with the book when we acquired it.
