Blue cloth cover has wear at corners and caps otherwise clean and bright and in very good+ condition. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is tight. Inscribed by author on front end sheet: "To my good friend Mrs. English with affectionate thoughts from Alice, Christmas 1940." Pages are clean and pristine. Dust jacket has wear at the extremities with an abrasion on front panel and stain on back panel, but overal good+. DJ flap corners are clipped but publisher's price of $1.00 on DJ flap still present. DJ protected by a clear, acid-free mylar cover to preserve the DJ and add luster to magnify its beauty or improve its appearance.
