An exceptional first edition, first printing of the scarcer South African variant. The book is tight, unread and clean throughout. No bumping or other flaws. Boldly signed by the author on the title page. J M Coetzee worked closely with Oak Tree Fine Press, and the provenance of his signature is guaranteed. The jacket is not clipped and is bright and clean with minor fading to the spine, as is common to this title. This is Oak Tree Press's own copy and the best we have ever acquired.

Store description
Inspired by the private and fine press movements, Oak Tree Fine Press was founded in 2006 to create beautifully designed limited editions of great books to benefit children living with or affected by HIV/Aids in Africa. With initial support from Noble Laureate J M Coetzee, we have preserved the tradition of fine book production by pairing some of the world’s leading writers and artists to publish significant works of modern literary fiction. We create books that are works of art in themselves, some of which feature in the collections of the world’s finest libraries, including the Bodleian. Oak Tree Fine Press also sells rare literary fiction for the primary purpose of assisting these children …
