Kirkpatrick to verso of the front flyleaf. Copyright page includes offer of discounts for bulk purchase along with printer� s union bug. Ribbed burgundy cloth lettered in gilt to cover and spine. Moderate shelf soiling to cloth boards; corners lightly bruised. Contents clean and unmarked, save for a penciled sum to rear endpage. Includes black-and-white reproductions of several period editorial cartoon graphics, along with a tissue-guarded color-toned plate. Kirkpatrick� s strongly argued polemic against the capitalist system as an engine of war, in which the working man becomes both cannon fodder and underpaid producer of wealth.
