Author's presentation copy, signed on half title page 'To Phyllis - Who has the will to win with love and admiration Jane McIlvaine Middleburg Oct 21, 1966'. Signed beneath that by someone else. 237pp text is tight and bright tears or soil. Original, un-clipped cream background dj w/color photo of the dynamic duo on frt panel shows small chips at spine ends. One at foot of spine took most of the publisher with it. The all-American pair who triumphed against odds to make history by winning the world's toughest steeplechase, The Grand National at Aintree.
