First edition of this attractively printed collection of poetry, inscribed by the author, Pamela Adelaide Genevieve Grey, Viscountess Grey of Fallodon (born Wyndham; previously Pamela Tennant, Baroness Glenconner) on front free endpage as Pamela Glenconner to Annabel Huth Jackson. The inscription highlights a wonderful connection of these two women's lives to the artist John Singer Sargent, who painted both Tennant and Jackson in two of his most famous portraits. Tennant is the rightmost figure in the 1899 painting The Wyndham Sisters: Lady Elcho, Mrs. Adeane, and Mrs. Tennant, while Annabel Huth Jackson had her portrait painted by Sargent in 1907.
