First illustrated edition. Illustrated with eighteen etchings by William Hole, each printed in two states, nicely printed with wide margins. Tall octavo. Dark blue buckram stamped in gold. Attractive pictorial bookplate of collector William Cowan on front pastedown, covers are slightly bumped at tips of corners else a near fine copy. This is copy number 9 of 50 numbered copies, extra-illustrated and printed on Japan paper, Signed by both Barrie and Hole. First published by Hodder and Stoughton in 1889, with no illustrations. Published as a sequel to 'Auld Licht Idylls,' set in fictional town of Thrums. Seller Inventory # 521945
