Bound with black textured spine cloth titled in gold and woven linen covered boards. A beautiful binding to hold. #55 0f 500 copies. Signed by the artist E. Maier Krieg. Type set in hand in recut Bodoni Book designed by Fredrick Goudy. Plates printed by the Artochrome process. Binding by the Weber-McCrea Co. Frontispiece portrait photograph by Brett Weston Maier-Krieg was a German born sculptur who immigrated to California in 1924. A relelatively uncommon Armitage book.
