Sixth impression of the first edition, issued the same year as the original impression. This copy signed by the author on the title page. 8vo. 417pp. Black boards lettered and ruled in cream at the spine. Illustrated with over fifty captioned black and white photographs. The backstrip ends gently bruised, and with some toning to the paperstock, as is common with Faber publications of this period. Quite a nice crisp copy in slightly rubbed and worn non-price-clipped dust wrapper, which was been laminated by a former owner. The first book-form publication of Bennett's diaries, covering the period from 1980-1990, the time-line including the production of his first play, and the filming of several others.
