A signed 3-book lot of this Pulitzer Prize winning author's debut novel, consisting of signed first printing copies of the U.S. advance uncorrected proof and first edition and the British uncorrected proof. (1) Signed first edition: First Edition, First Printing as indicated by "First published in 2001 by Viking Penguin" and full number line printed on copyright page. A fine, signed hardcover copy, black colored boards and spine with gold lettering. Book is square and solid, spine is tight. Minor wear on bottom board edges from typical shelving, bottom board corners bumped. Not ex-library, no previous owner markings, book plates, or remainder marks. Looks unread. Author signature only on full title page in black ink. Bright, unclipped dust jacket ($24.95 price intact) encased in protective dust jacket cover. (2) Advance uncorrected proof copy: First Edition, First Printing as indicated by prepublication status (copyright page incomplete). A fine, signed softcover advance uncorrected proof copy in bright pictorial wraps (nearly identical to hardcover dustjacket). Book is square, spine is tight. Cover corners slightly bumped, pencil erasure marks on first page. Encased in Brodart PlastiKleer DuraSaver book cover. Author signature and inscription to previous owner on full title page in black Sharpie. (3) British uncorrected proof copy: First British Edition, First Printing as indicated by First published in Great Britain in 1998 by Fourth Estate Limited and full number line printed on copyright page. A fine, signed softcover advance uncorrected proof copy in bright pictorial wraps. Book is square, spine is tight. Cover corners slightly bumped, pencil erasure marks on first page.
