Yoko Ono has created revolutionary forms of music, film, and the visual arts since the 1960s, when she emerged as an avant-garde force in New York, Tokyo, and London. This richly illustrated book includes essays by eminent international scholars and critics that not only explore Ono's life and career, including her contributions to the Fluxus movement and Conceptual art, but also enrich our understanding of her complex role as artist, filmmaker, poet, composer, performance artist, activist, and rock star. An anthology of Ono's writings and an illustrated chronology further mark this book as the most extensive survey ever published on the art and life of Yoko Ono.
The book includes a CD with new music by Yoko Ono, performed by Ono, her son Sean Lennon, and others.
ALEXANDRA MUNROE, director of Japan Society Gallery, New York, and a noted art historian specializing in modern Asian art, organized the accompanying exhibition in consultation with JON HENDRICKS, who has worked as Yoko Ono's curator and archivist since 1989 and is the author of Abrams' acclaimed catalogue raisonn Fluxus Codex.

Terms of sale
All of our stock is guaranteed to be authentic and as described.
We obtain many of our signed books in person where possible. Those otherwise obtained we purchase ourselves with extreme caution - either with provenance or where, in our professional opinion, the material is unquestionably authentic.
Any item can be returned for a refund if found unsatisfactory for any reason, if we are notified within 14 days. The refund will include the original shipping cost but not the cost of returning the item.
Shipping terms
All items are meticulously packaged to ensure that they arrive in the condition described.
Books are shipped as parcels. Parcel mail rates from Finland are based on the size of the parcel as opposed to weight. This means that we can often safely accommodate several items in the same box at no extra cost. For example, up to 4 standard-sized hardcover fiction titles will fit - with padding - into our standard shipping box. You pay the shipping fee for one item only.
The standard parcel rate also includes full tracking, worldwide.
Smaller items such as autographs, postcards or other ephemera can be sent by a less expensive Letter-rate. ** Letter mail from Finland does not include tracking by default**, however and therefore if you require this service, please choose the Expedited option when placing your order for this type of item.
Shipping costs for ** framed prints or paintings** - particularly where glazed - will be higher than advertised as they are normally sent by courier. Please enquire about likely costs before placing an order as there can be variance where the picture is small.
Shipping speeds are an estimate provided by Posti.fi - delays can occur due to customs interference, e.g. but items usually arrive well within estimate.
