SIGNED BY DAVID without inscription directly to the title page; a beautiful well-crafted early signature. True 1957 Lutterworth 1st edition but bookplate (W.H. Smith & Son Library) on front pastedown. Condition of book is good with clean text, actually feels unread, and blemishes on the boards as shown in my photos. Dust jacket is price intact but has numerous closed tears and edgewear. I've added a new mylar cover and perhpas you will agree that the cover still retains a fair amount of appeal.
