Book is an earlier undated (c. 2017), self-published and germinal version of her 2021 book of the same title published by Deadbeat Club Press in an edition of 500. 4to. Unpaginated. 22 b/w photos (plates and dual-page) on cardstock pages. Wilcox's photos are part of an ongoing engagement with Los Angeles' parks and other liminal spaces, documenting the conjunction of human and nature: a squatter's camp "or the outline of a bare branch mimicking the Los Angeles skyline," blurring the boundaries between what is natural and what is not. Wilcox says her photographs Offer a winding journey through a mangled urban landscape that looks something like wilderness, towing the line between the natural and built environment.
